Luxury hospitality in the wild is getting a massive shakeup next month. After Oberoi, Taj, Six Senses and Aman, now Marriott is entering the lucrative Ranthambore market with its brand-new premium resort – JW Marriott Ranthambore Resort & Spa, opening on 10th June 2026.

JW Marriott Ranthambore Resort & Spa

The resort is located in Jamool Khera village, about 10 minutes away from Ranthambore National Park. Spread over 14 acres, the layout is architecturally designed to mirror the Sawai Madhopur landscape. The aesthetic leans heavily into a modern safari narrative, incorporating natural stones, open courtyards and tented-over structures.

The resort’s 127 rooms are spread across five types: guest rooms, suites, tented suites, family tents and villas. The base king/twin rooms called Deluxe Rooms are spread across 47 square meters (506 square feet). Tented suites feature private pools while the three-bedroom Presidential Villa is isolated and perfect for groups of six.

Ishara Thoughts

JW Marriott Ranthambore Resort & Spa looks solid, at least in the photos.

Historically speaking, particularly for wildlife resorts in India, we have seen them cater to couples or solo photographers; kids are often an afterthought. It seems that Marriott is trying to position this JW as a family-friendly resort with facilities like a kids’ club and a game room.

The resort will have to have great service. There’s no other option for them if they want to compete with already-established hotels like Oberoi Vanyavilas, Six Senses and Aman-i-khas. Although all of them position themselves on different levels, this JW is clearly positioned as an upper-luxury resort, with rates per night starting upwards of INR 30,000 excluding taxes, even in off-season.

All-in-all, a solid addition to Ranthambore’s luxury hospitality market.
